Benefits of Shea Butter

Anti-inflammatory and Healing Properties:

Shea butter has been proven to have extensive anti-inflammatory properties. Redness and swelling on the face may be calmed by applying shea butter products.

Emollient Properties:

High concentrations of fatty acids and vitamins make shea butter an ideal cosmetic ingredient for softening skin. The rich oils in shea butter can soak into the skin, creating a smooth and soft barrier that seals in moisture. This moisturizing effect can last several hours.

Anti-aging Properties:

Shea butter has also been reported to have anti-aging properties by fighting lines and wrinkles, dull skin and dryness. Presence of vitamins A and E as well as a distinct odour makes it imperative to maintain the skin’s elasticity and suppleness.

Edible Properties:

Shea butter is sometimes used as substitute for cocoa butter in chocolates and confectionaries.
